First blog post!

I hope that you are enjoying the summer and have been reading as much as I have. This summer I have chosen quite a few new to us authors or debut novels for our collection. Some are from the U.K., Australia, as well as the U.S.A.

My first book pick is DON’T BELIEVE IT by Charlie Donlea. This was an OMG book. Just when you figured things out? Don’t believe it! I liked the use of three different fonts for narrative, T.V documentary, & trial. I think that I was set up to assume parts of that! This was an excellent read.


CRIMSON LAKE by Candice Fox, who has co-authored other novels with James Patterson is set in Australia. It has a quirky, convicted murderer P.I. Amanda Pharrell and an accused but not convicted of a brutal abduction, Sydney detective who is trying to keep a low profile, while they try to solve the crimes. The residents of Crimson Lake are watching the pairs every move.
